Spiderman: Homecoming

Luma Pictures, Melbourne | Lighting & Compositing

My first project with the remarkable Luma Pictures was on the Marvel reboot of Spiderman, where I was tapped to provide lighting and compositing help, my two strongest VFX disciplines. It was a true pleasure getting to know, and working with Brendan Seals (VFX Supervisor), Andrew Zinke (CG Supervisor) and Michael Yates (Lighting Lead) on this fast paced production where almost all of the live action Spiderman shots were replaced with an incredible digi double they had created in house. Lighting pipeline revolved around a Maya/Arnold implementation with their own proprietary render pass management system, and compositing of course in Nuke. Assigned shots were lit and comped by the same artists for efficiency reasons and the project could have not have been more in my comfort zone.
